Welcome To Lomo Tanzania Safari
Do you want to go on a journey that changes lives? Lomo Tanzania Safari will not only change your life, but also the life of someone in need.
Lomo Tanzania Safari is set up by Tanzanian and Dutch people. We are a small team dedicated to make your safari relaxing, enjoyable, and worth your money. What makes us different from other companies? We have an Eye for Detail.
We know that the success of and enjoyment for any safari depend on the quality and experience of a safari guide. That’s why our guides are well trained, experienced and speak English well.
By traveling with Lomo Tanzania Safari, not only you will enjoy your safari but also will be able to change someone’s life in a positive way. With your money, people will be supported by offering them education, health and by improving their standard of living.
LOMO simply means Less on Ourselves, More on Others. On this principle the company is dedicated to support the less privileged members of the community through education, health and improving living standard. We believe that we are a solution to someone in need. Take for instance John Lawrent from Singida, the central part of Tanzania. We decided to help him, together with 2 other children. We offered them a scholarship, so they have an opportunity to create a better future.

Director & Guide
Erasto was born and raised in Tanzania. He started his guiding career in 2003 in Selous Game Reserve, in the southern part of Tanzania. After working here for 2 years, learning the guiding skills and a real understanding of the bush and wildlife, he moved to the Mwewe Training College in Serengeti and qualified as a ranger. He started to work as an assistant head ranger for a luxury travel company in the western Serengeti.
A few years later Erasto moved to another luxury camp in the Serengeti, to join his wife who was working there, and to become a head ranger leading a team. His dream to have his own safari company and to be able to give back to the community, became reality a couple of years later. During one safari trip he met two safari guests, a Dutch couple, who shared the same passion and vision. They became friends and business partners and together set up Lomo Tanzania Safaris.
Erasto now manages Lomo Tanzania Safaris, but also still leads safaris with the same passion as he did 10 years ago. He is also involved in training other guides. He just loves his job.
