Gorilla & Golden Monkey Tracking Safari
6 Days – Uganda
Your 6 day’s gorilla trekking and golden monkey safari will give a total wild trekking experience in the thick impenetrable forest of Bwindi Impenetrable NP and the rolling hills of Volcanoes NP, which is one of the hot spot to trek the gorillas and golden monkey respectively, both known for harboring half of the world famous mountain gorillas. The safari will also give you a taste of the community experience and opportunity to visit the Kigali genocide memorial grounds were over 250000 Rwandese who suffered the genocide incidence were bodies were given a descent mass burial to rest.
Day 1: Transfer from the Airport to the Hotel
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport and passing through the immigration process, you will be welcomed by our safari driver who will, brief you shortly and transfer you to the booked accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Visit Kigali genocide memorial & transfer to Bwindi
Travel Time +5 hours
Today after taking your early morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to visit the Kigali genocide memorial grounds, which honors the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 through education and peace-building. You will be able to watch and listen to some video clips from some of the survivors’ of the incident. Later you will proceed with a drive to Bwindi through the magnificent route to your booked accommodation to catch up with the late lunch and later spend the rest of the afternoon relax and prepare for the next day’s trekking.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Community Walk Visit
Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials and thereafter enter the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movements of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience in Uganda you will have informative memorable experience in life. In the afternoon, ready for a village foot safari, to explore the indigenous local life with a taste of the traditional performance.
Day 4: Bwindi – Volcanoes
Travel Time +5 hours
Early morning relaxed breakfast and short sightseeing experience for photography. Thereafter embark to your our safari vehicle and drive back to Musanze – Volcanoes, with a beautiful view of the rolling hills and several stopovers along way for photography and lunch and later transferred to Musanze where you will you have an overnight. Musanze is region around Volcanoes national park were most of the lodgings are located as there is no lodges in the park areas. Volcanoes national park is very famous for the harboring the mountain gorillas and the shy golden monkeys that you will be tracking on the next day. Dinner and overnight stay at Five Volcano Boutique lodge (luxury lodge) or or La Palma hotel ( Economy lodge). Meal Plan: Full board

Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking
Today after you warm early morning breakfast, you will be picked by our safari driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing and start off you day golden monkey trekking. Just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same applies to golden monkey trekking though no so hectic like gorilla trekking. You will later return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to Kigali for your dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to the Kigali Airport
After having your relaxed morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali airport to catch-up with your onward flight to Tanzania to proceed with your safari adventure in Africa. End of service!
