Tarangire National Park is best known for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds that congregate near the Tarangire River, the park’s main water source. Aside from baby elephants and their mothers, the Tarangire National Park is home to zebras, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs, buffalos, and a variety of other predators and ungulates.
Bird enthusiasts will enjoy the park as well. Tarangire National Park’s more than 550 bird species provide ample opportunity for bird watching: brightly plumaged yellow necked spurfowls, white crowned shrikes, and black necked weavers are among the most common sightings.
The unique Tarangire landscape, with its vast rolling grasslands, thick acacia bush, baobab and palm trees, will leave a lasting impression on your memory.
